Friday, 18 Oct 1912 Volume 45, Number 41 Death of Thomas J. James Thomas J. James of the West ward, Ebensburg, died at his home yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock after two weeks' illness of pneumonia. Mr. James was born in Jackson township, Sept. 16, 1848, and at the time of his death was past 65 years of age and had been a resident of this vicinity all his life, being very well known and highly respected by residents of this community. He was married Sept. 12, 1871 and is survived by his wife and the following children: John W., Amos J. and Mrs. Bessie Anderson of Pittsburg; Mrs. Alma Kibler of Charleroi; Misses Edna, Martha and Dorothy, all at home. Three daughters, Mrs. J. H. Lutz, Mrs. Clara Draucker and Miss Ruth, preceded the father to the grave. He is also survived by one brother, Robert James and one sister, Mrs. John B. Davis, both of this place. Mr. James was a member of the Christian church and always led an exemplary life, being trustworthy, a hard and steady worker, a man of good habits, a kind husband and father and the community at large extends its sympathy to the bereaved family in this their hour of affliction. The funeral arrangements have not yet been made but it is likely services will be held Saturday afternoon with interment in Lloyd Cemetery.
