Jenkins, 81, died at 10:45 a.m. today at the home of his step-daughter, Mrs. Nelson Harmon, 196 Cleveland Street. He had been ill for three years. Mr. Jenkins was born in Oliver Township, Mifflin County, Pa. on Dec. 5, 1864, and came to Elyria six years ago from Johnstown, Pa. He was a conductor on the Pennsylvania Railroad before his retirement and was a member of the Church of the Brethren in Johnstown. Surviving are a stepson Blair Brallier of Elyria, three stepdaughter, Mrs. Harmon, of Elyria, Mrs. Viola Oaks, and Mrs. Torie Wolford, of Johnstown. His wife, Elizabeth died in 1938 and three brothers and a sister also preceded him in death. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday from the Sudro-Curtis Funeral Home and the body will be shipped to Johnstown where services will be held Tuesday afternoon from the Carl Davis Funeral Home, and burial will be made in Grandview Cemetery there. The Rev. N. W. Shirley, pastor of the Church of the Nazarene will officiate at the services here.
