JENKINS, 68, TAKEN BY DEATH Mrs. Joseph E. Jenkins, 68, prominent worker in Lorain fraternal and church circles, died last night in her home, 2153 E 30th St., following a lingering illness. She was born in Johnstown, Pa. on March 3, 1868, was a charter member of the Trinity Baptist church, active member of the Fern Temple of Pythian Sisters, the John R. Danley Hive of Macabees, Womens' Auxiliary of the Sons of Veterans and the Missionary Society of the Trinity Baptist church. Besides her husband she is survived by four daughter, Mrs. Thomas King, and Mrs. Charles L. Baker, Lorain, Mrs. Ralph Clup, McConnelsville, Pa. and Mrs. Harley Gibbs, Elyria, and six sons, John D, George, Lewis, and Archie all of Lorain, and Samuel W. and James B., Amherst. Fifteen grandchildren and one great grandchild also survive. Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday with Rev. John A. Waugaman, pastor of the Trinity Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery in charge of the Wickens Memorial. (Ed. note: Lillie was the daughter of Jeremiah and Elizabeth Vaughen)
