All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/pafiles.htm ************************************************ Johnstown Tribune 8 Sep 1910 Mrs. Joseph Jenkins, of West Taylor Township, died at her home last night after a brief illness, aged seventy-three years. Mrs. Jenkins had been ailing for some time, but was able to be about her home yesterday morning. At 3 o'clock in the afternoon, however, she began to sink and was unconscious most of the time until her death at 11:30 p.m. The deceased is survived by her husband, Joseph Jenkins, for many years, Justice of the Peace in West Taylor Township, and the following sons and daughter: Samuel, of Altoona; Ezra and Ambrose, of Franklin Borough Benjamin, of Lower Yoder Township; John M. and C. E. of West Taylor Township and Mrs. Annie Hanley, of McKeesport. Mrs. Jenkins is also survived by two brothers and one sister - Abram and Miller Gross, who reside near Lewistown and Mrs. William Brininger of Mapleton, Pa. The deceased was born at McVeytown, Mifflin County, but had been a resident of West Taylor Township for thirty-four years. Mrs. Jenkins was a member of the Cooper-Avenue Methodist Episcopal Church, and her pastor, the Rev. S. B. Laverty will conduct funeral services on Saturday. Interment will be made in Grandview Cemetery.
