"Red", 62, Richland, died Dec. 27, 1990, at Memorial Hospital. Born June 19, 1928 in Johnstown, son of Earl and Ada (Mitchell). Preceded in death by parents, and sister Mary Catherine. Survived by wife, former Mary Ann Safko, and these children: Michael, married to former Tina DePola, Johnstown; Scott, married to former Margo Lakin, Charleston, S.C. and Tammy at home; also grandson Michael. Brother of Harry, Central City, Luella Younkins, Akron, Ohio; Joseph, Johnstown and Glenn, Ebensburg. Navy veteran of World War II. Retired supervisor of open hearth department, Bethlehem Steel Corp. Member of Albright United Methodist Church, Johnstown. Lodge 538, F.& A.M.; Junior Order of United American Mechanics; Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Valley of Altoona; Jaffa Temple, and Jaffa Drum & Bugle Corps. Served on Johnstown Municipal Recreation Advisory Commission. Former manager of Arbutus Little League. Richland Senior High School Baseball, and the following teams of Johnstown Junior League: Ramada Inn, Coca-Cola and Cernic's. Friends received from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Harris Funeral Home, Scalp Avenue, Richland, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, the Rev. Jack Long. Interment, Benshoff Hill Cemetery. Masonic service at 7 p.m. Sunday. [Later reburied at Richland Cemetery-ed.]
