Friday, 9 Feb 1906 Volume 40, Number 5 Alexander Y. Jones Alexander Y. Jones, a former resident of Ebensburg, died at 12:30 o'clock Monday morning at Renova, Clinton county, after a long illness of Bright's disease, aged 65 years. The deceased who was postmaster at Renova was born in Ebensburg and was a brother of Elmer Jones, who resides in Michigan and Mrs. Mame Eckel of Kane. Mr. Jones and Miss Pamilla Kinkead were married at Ebensburg about 30 years ago. Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, Harry, of West Virginia and two daughters, the Misses Lisda and Ray, at home. Alexander Jones was a veteran of the Civil War, having fought in the 133d Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteers, with the company which went out from Ebensburg. At Fredericksburg he was shot just above the nose, the bullet penetrating his hat and lodging in the skull. He was a member of the Grand Army Post at Renova, and was also identified with the lodge of Masons at that place. The following Ebensburg people attended the funeral which took place Wednesday: W. G. Jones, Webster Griffith, F. H. Barker, George Oscar and Stewart Kinkead. The remains were taken to Kane for interment.
