Friday, 6 Jan 1905 Volume XXXVIII, Number 52 Mrs. Elias Jones Mrs. Jane Jones, wife of Elias Jones, who resides on a farm in Cambria township, adjoining this place, died at her home Friday, aged 78 years, after an illness of more than a year. The deceased whose maiden name was Jane Roberts was born in Wales and came to this country with her parents, when quite young, who settled on a farm about five miles north of Ebensburg. Her father was killed on the farm by a falling tree 57 years ago. About 60 year ago she was married to Elias Jones, who survives her with nine children, four sons and five daughters: Richard, Daniel, Owen, and Hugh, all residing in Ebensburg; Jane Ann, Johanna, widow of Warren Jones, Martha and Marian, all residing at home and Julia, wife of the Rev. Thomas Evans of Center City, Neb. The funeral took place Monday afternoon with alter service at her late home at 2 o'clock by the Rev. Mr. Teasdale, pastor of the Ebensburg Baptist church, of which the deceased was a life long member, the remains were interred in Lloyd's cemetery.
