Friday, 3 Nov 1905 Volume 39, Number 43 Fell From Top of Load Jonathan Jones Sustains Injuries Which Prove Fatal Jonathan Jones, a farmer who lives three and a half miles from this place, fell from the top of a load of corn he was hauling on his farm Monday afternoon and sustained injuries which proved to be fatal. The load was a high one and Mr. Jones' fall was severe. He alighted on his back, injuring his spinal column. His lower extremities are paralyzed. Dr. F. C. Jones of this place attended him. We learn just before going to press that Mr. Jones died of injuries at 10:30 o'clock Wednesday night. He is survived by several children at home, also by R. E. Jones of this place who is a brother of the deceased and two sisters – one living in Somerset and the other in Jefferson county. The funeral will take place Saturday afternoon, the interment being in the Lloyd cemetery, the Rev. J. Twyson Jones, pastor of the Ebensburg Congregational church officiating. Mr. Jones was highly esteemed by all who knew him and his death will prove an irreparable loss to this community.
