Mrs. Jones Dead 

Residents of Ebensburg were shocked Thursday morning to 
learn of the death at her home in this place of Mrs. Martha 
A. Jones, widow of John A. Jones.  The deceased was born 
May 18, 1834 in Cemmes, Montgomeryshire, North Wales, and 
was therefore almost 76 years of age.  She came to 
Ebensburg in June, 1855.  She was married Jan. 1, 1857 to 
John A. Jones, who died in 1901.

Mrs. Jones is survived by the following children:  Mrs. 
Mary A. Garman; Timothy Jones; John C. Jones; William W. 
Jones; Harry J. Jones; Lizzie and Edward Jones, all of 
Ebensburg.  One sister, Mrs. Mary D. Evans of Cambria 
Township and one brother, Edward W. Humphreys of Ebensburg, 
survive and another sister, Eliza Bennett, lives in Wales.  
The funeral will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock 
from the Congregational church, interment being in Lloyd's 
cemetery.  The Rev. Mr. Craig will conduct the services.
