Richard D. Jones Dies in California 

Old Ebensburgers will remember Richard D. Jones, a son of the late David W. Jones and wife of this 
place and regret to learn of his death, April 10th in Berkley, California.  The deceased was aged 57 
years and his death was due to rupturing a muscle of the heart. 

Mr. Jones left Ebensburg about 30 years ago and has been in the real estate business in his adopted 
home.  He leaves a widow and six children – three boys and three girls.

Of brothers and sisters surviving him there are the following:  William A. Jones, who has for many 
years been employed in the Barker Brothers' store at Ebensburg; Mrs. Evan Bennett of Cambria 
Township; Dwight Jones of Guide Rock, Nebraska; Mary, wife of William A. Gittings of Pueblo, 
Colorado; Martha J. of Knoxville, Pittsburg; and Walter of Portland, Oregon.

The funeral and interment took place at Berkley, California.
