Friday, 24 Mar 1905 Volume 39, Number 11 Fatal Coasting Accident Miss Ruth Jones, the twelve-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rowland Jones of North Ebensburg, died at her parents' home Sunday as the result of an accident she met with while coasting near her home over a month ago. Spinal meningitis and brain fever set in within the past fortnight and the little patient lay unconscious for some time before her death. The funeral took place at 1 o'clock Tuesday afternoon when the Rev. Robert Humphreys, pastor of the Vine street Calvinist Methodist Church, Johnstown, conducted the obsequies at the Jones residence. The remains were laid to rest in Lloyd's Cemetery, Ebensburg. The father of the child is a brother of R. D. Jones of the Eleventh Ward and M. D. Jones of the First Ward, Johnstown, who accompanied by their wives and Miss Bernice Jones, also of Johnstown and Mr. and Mrs. Roy Jones, of Seward, attended the funeral.
