William D. Jones Dead 

William D. Jones, one of the oldest native residents of Ebensburg, died 
Tuesday morning at his home in the West ward from cancer of the stomach 
after an illness dating from last September.  He was aged about 76 years.

Mr. Jones was born in Ebensburg and was married 41 years ago to Elizabeth 
Zimmerman, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Zimmerman of Carroll Township. 
Surviving with the widow are two children: Anna, wife of Adam Lintz of 
Ebensburg and H. B. Jones of Pitcairn. The deceased had been a teamster 
for many years. The funeral was held in the Holy Name Church at ten 
o'clock Thursday morning, interment being in the old church cemetery.
