The Cambria freeman. (Ebensburg, Pa.) 1867-1938: August 18, 1870
At his residence in Gallitzin township, this county, on Friday last, Aug. 12th,
after an illness of only a few days duration, Mr. Richard Kane, aged about 55 years.
Mr. Kane was born in the County Derry, Ireland, and had been a resident of this
county for the last twenty years. He was one of nature's noblemen, and his sudden
death is sincerely lamented by his wide circle of acquaintances and friends. "Tunnel
Hill," where he lived and was greatly respected, did not number among its citizens a
warmer hearted or more generous man than Richard Kane. May his immortal spirit find
eternal rest.
