The Cambria freeman. (Ebensburg, Pa.) 1867-1938: July 14, 1870
At East Liberty, Pa., on Sunday mourning last, July 10th, of disease of the heart,
Rev. James Keogh, D. D., aged 36 years, 5 mos. and 6 days...was born in Enniscorthy
, County of Wexford, Ireland, on the 4th of February 1834. His family came to this
country in 1841... For the last two years, owing to feeble
health, he had partially withdrawn from active duties, and had resided for the last
eighteen months at St. Augustine, this county, and died as above stated, after only
a few weeks illness fortified and consoled by the sacraments of that Church in which
he was a firm believer and a most learned and efficient clergyman.
