Tuesday Morning, January 16, 1917 CRESSON'S CHIEF OF POLICE DIES SUDDENLY B. B. Kenny, Brother of Altoonan, Succumbs While on Visit B. B. Kenny, chief of police and street commissioner at Cresson, died at the home of Coalport relatives, at 5 o'clock yesterday morning, following an attack of heart disease. He was a brother of Mrs. Blair Storey, of 713 Chestnut avenue, this city. Mr. Kenny was visiting with his daughter, Mrs. L. E. McCann at Coalport, when he was stricken. He was born in Hollidaysburg, fifty- six years ago and resided in Cresson, thirty-two years. He was an engineer on the Clearfield & Cambria division of the Pennsy, for twenty-one years. He served on the Cresson board of health, was chief of the Cresson volunteer fire department, was a member of the Moose lodge and was proprietor of the Cottage hotel at Cresson, for three years. Mr. Kenny's wife died in November, 1916. He is survived by these children: Mrs. L. E. McCann, Paul and Robert Kenny, all of Cresson. He was a brother of Walter Kenny, Minnesota; Daniel Kenny, of Pittsburg; William, of Wisconsin; Randolph, Ohio; Mrs. Blair Storey, this city; Mrs. Frank Gallagher and Mrs. James Callan, of Braddock. The body was taken to Cresson last evening and funeral services will likely be held tomorrow morning from St. Xavier's Roman Catholic church, of which Mr. Kenny was a member. 1910 Cresson, Cambria County census - Bryan B.
