Friday, 16 Aug 1912 Volume 45, Number 32 Death of Wm. Kessler William Kessler, aged about fifty-five years, foreman of the Pennsylvania Railroad repair shops at Cresson, was stricken with apoplexy Tuesday evening. He was unconscious for sometime and was removed to his home in a serious condition. He never regained consciousness and died Wednesday. Mr. Kessler located at Cresson many years ago and entered the service of the PRR. His advancement was rapid and he soon became foreman of the car shops. He took an active part in borough affairs and was responsible for many improvements made in his home town. Mr. Kessler was a member of the Presbyterian church and took an active part in promoting its welfare. Mr. Kessler is survived by his widow, two daughters and two stepsons. Several brothers and sisters also survive. The remains were shipped to Lewistown this morning for burial.
