The Johnstown Tribune says that Betsy Kinney, formerly of Munster township, Cambria county, and aged about 84 years, was on Monday assaulted in the poor house, in which she was an inmate for a long time past, by an insane woman, named Patsy O'Neil Weakland, who is confined in the department allotted to persons who are out of their mind. The latter was allowed certain liberties, and while walking through the corridor met the old lady, and they had a few words, when Mrs. Weakland ran to the stove and picked up a poker, with which she struck Betsy over the head a number of times. The latter was knocked to the floor insensible, and when an examination of her injuries was made, it was found that her skull had been fractured. The victim died the same evening, about 7 o'clock.
