Friday, 19 Jan 1906 Volume 40, Number 2 Ernest Knobloch Ernest Knobloch of Maysville near Gallitzin was instantly killed by a train opposite the Gallitzin tunnel Friday evening. He had been a watchman at the tunnel for some time past. A car standing on a siding obstructed the man's view as he was crossing the tracks and an engine backing east struck and killed him. The deceased was about 45 years of age and came to Cambria county from Germany in 1881. He is survived by his wife and five children, the oldest, a boy about 21, and the youngest, a daughter of 11.
