LOCAL ITEMS IN BRIEF.

John Kohler, of Carrolltown, who has been lying in a Pittsburg 
hospital for nearly three years, suffering from the effects of a shot 
from a gun which was accidentally discharged in Johnstown, died from 
the effects of the wound yesterday morning.  He had been taken to his 
home just recently.  The young man was well known in this city and 
throughout Cambria county.
