PORTAGE, June 20. – Mrs. Margaret (Kline) Keutzberger [sic], aged 72 years, wife of Jacob Kreutzberger, sr., residing at the German settlement two miles south of here, died at her home at 11:10 o'clock last night. Death was caused by pneumonia, following a stroke of paralysis, which she suffered six weeks ago. The deceased was born in Germany on October 24, 1855. She came to the United States in 1881. She is survived by her husband and these children: Mrs. Sophia Pfeilsticker; Emma, wife of Dr. J. J. Severein; Margaret, wife of James Ashurst, Matilda, wife of E. R. Burkett, and Jacob, jr., Fred, Bruno and Albert Kreutzberger, all of Portage; Lena, wife of Ralph Gill, of Dayton, O., and Lewis Kreutzberger, at home. Forty grandchildren, one great-grandchild and a brother, latter in Germany, also survive. Funeral services will be held in the local Lutheran Church at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon, conducted by the Rev. G. I. Uhler, pastor. Interment will be in the Prospect Cemetery. Undertake A. L. Tickerhoff has prepared the body for burial.
