Saturday, March 4, 1893 Both Limbs Cut Off. John Kundas, a Hungarian miner, aged 18 years, and residing at Ben's Creek, was run over by a train near that place last night. He was brought to this city on fast line and taken to the hospital. It was found that besides being hurt about the head, the unfortunate man's limbs had been crushed between the knee and the ankle and that amputation was necessary. This operation was performed last night, but the patient could not rally and died at 9:45 o'clock this morning. The remains were given in charge of Undertaker Lynch, who prepared them for burial. If no friends appear he will be buried in St. John's cemetery at 7:30 Monday morning.
