The Alleghanian. (Ebensburg, Pa.) 1859-1865: September 26, 1861
Near Hamilton, Ohio, on Saturday, 10th ult., John R. Lewis, Esq., aged about 40
years. Mr. L. had been terribly injured a short time previous by being run over by a
wagon, the team of which was running away; the injuries then received resulting in
his death. He formerly resided in this place, most of his early life having been
spent under the roof of his uncle, Richard Lewis, since deceased. His friends and
acquaintances will deplore his sad demise.
