Democrat and sentinel: (Ebensburg, Pa.) 1853-1866: October 01, 1856
In Loretto on Friday morning the 26th inst., Mr. Anthony Litzinger, aged 74 years
and 7 mos. The deceased was one of the oldest and most respected citizens of our
county, and who up to the day of his death led a life of activity, industry, aud
usefulness. For many years he resided in the neighboring county of Huntingdon where
he was well and favorably known, but his last and declining years were spent in the
midst of his relatives and friends. He was followed to the grave by upwards of fifty
of his immediate descendants and relatives, and a large train of acquaintances who
thus testified the esteem in which he was held by the community in which he had so
long lived. May he rest in peace.
