Friday, 22 Dec 1905 Volume 39, Number 50 Well Known Gallitzin Man Meets Death Arnold Lentz, formerly proprietor of the Portage House in Gallitzin, was crushed and instantly killed by the fall of a shed on his farm in Allegheny township on Monday morning. The shed had been built against the end of the barn and was in a dangerous condition. Thinking that the roof would reach the ground and still remain against the barn for support, Mr. Lentz knocked away the outer supports. The roof was too short to reach the ground and pulled loose at the top and fell outward, catching Mr. Lentz and killing him instantly. He was cut about the head and one leg was broken. Lentz is survived by his wife and six sons. He was aged about 46 years. The funeral was held at Gallitzin Wednesday.
