Friday, 24 Feb 1911 Volume 44, Number 8 David Lewis Dead David D. Lewis, a well known resident of Cambria Township, died at his home Monday evening at the age of 72 years from general debility. Funeral services were held at the residence at 1:30 o'clock Thursday afternoon, in charge of the Rev. Hugh Rowland of the Ebensburg Calvinistic Methodist Church. Interment was in Lloyd's Cemetery. Mr. Lewis was a son of the Rev. and Mrs. David T. Lewis and was born at Oak Hill, O., June 15, 1838. The family moved to Cambria Township when he was but a year old. He was married to Elizabeth Davis of Blacklick Township, who survives with these children: John A. of Ebensburg; Mary, wife of John Knorr of Cambria Township; and Martha J., Catherine; Margaret and Orton, all at home. One brother, Joseph Lewis, of Wilkinsburg and two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Hughes of Westmont and Mrs. Mary Owens of Ebensburg also survive. The deceased was a member of Company F, One Hundred and Thirty-third regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteers, serving nine months.
