Friday, 15 Mar 1912 Volume 45, Number 11 Mrs. John A. Lewis Died at the Memorial Hospital, Johnstown, on Saturday, March 9th, 1912. Jennie Hughes Lewis, aged 41 years, 9 months and 3 days. The news of her death came as a shock to her relatives and her many friends. Jennie Hughes as she was familiarly called was noted among those who knew her best, for her cheerfulness and freedom from selfishness and her thoughtful and ever active concern of the welfare of others. She enjoyed everything that was graceful, beautiful, whether in God's work or man's. She was married March 4th, 1901 to John A. Lewis of Cambria township who now survives with her father and the following foster children: Pearl, Bert and Clinton Lewis, to whom she was much attached. The funeral took place from the home Tuesday afternoon. Services were held at 1:30 o'clock by the Rev. H. H. Guernsey, pastor of the Congregational church, of which she was a member. Interment was made in Lloyd cemetery.
