All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/pafiles.htm ************************************************ Sharon Herald Saturday, 31 May 1930 Page 2 Mrs. Gwen Leyshon Called By Death Mrs. Gwendolyn Leyshon, 65, wife of Dan Leyshon, Fruit avenue, passed away at the family home at 6 p.m. Thursday, after a brief illness of one day. She had awakened Thursday Morning in seemingly good spirits, but as the day passed she complained of not feeling well. Death came without warning, causing a shock to her wide circle of friends and acquaintances, by whom she was beloved. She was born September 21, 1865, in Johnstown, Pa., coming to Farrell 27 years ago. She was a member of the First M.E. Church, the Ladies' Aid, Chapter 156, Order of Eastern Star, Invincible Sisterhood, 112 Dames of Malta, Buhl Circle 480 P.H.C., and a past templar of the Ladies of the Golden Eagle. Beside her husband she is survived by two daughters, Florence, a teacher in the Washington annex, Gwendolyn, a teacher in the J.A. Farrell building, one brother, Ellis Michaels of Farrell. Funeral services will be held at 2 Sunday from the late home, in charge of Rev. H.M. Stevenson. Interment will be in Morefield Cemetery. (Homestead and Johnstown papers please copy)
