Mrs. D. A. Luther Dead 

The wife of ex-Sheriff D. A. Luther died of cancer Tuesday night of last week 
at her home a couple of miles from Carrolltown, after a long and painful 
illness.  She was about 72 years of age and is survived by her husband, 
three sons and two daughters as follows:  Bert of Ebensburg; Harry, James, 
Mrs. Ella Stoltz and Mrs. Frank Bearer, all of Carroll township.  The deceased 
was born in Clearfield township and was a sister of Mrs. Peter Campbell of 
Carrolltown; Mrs. William H. Connell of Ebensburg and N. J. Bendon of 
Glendive, Mont.  The funeral took place at St. Benedict's Catholic church, 
Carrolltown, where a high mass of requiem was said. The remains were laid 
to rest in the church cemetery.
