Death of J. D. Lyons 

J. D. Lyons, one of the most prominent men of Patton, died 
at that place Monday from cancer of the stomach.  Mr. Lyons 
was for some time in the Memorial Hospital in Johnstown 
undergoing treatment.  Mr. Lyons had been the efficient tax 
collector of Patton borough and was an old soldier.  He is 
survived by his wife and two children. The funeral took 
place Thursday morning from St. Mary's Catholic Church.
