The Patton courier: (Patton, Cambria Co., Pa.): 7 Feb 1929
Funeral services for William McCarthy, aged 52 years, who died on Saturday in the
Mercy hospital at Altoona, following an illness of two months, were held in St.
Brigid’s Catholic church at Lilly on Wednesday morning with interment in the church
cemetery. Mr. McCarthy was the son of the late Michael and Mary McCarthy and was
born in Lilly on Nov. 27, 1877. His wife preceded him to the grave a number of years
ago. He leaves several children.
