The Cambria freeman. (Ebensburg, Pa.) 1867-1938: July 15, 1869
At his residence in Summerhill township, on Saturday evening, June 19th, Mr. Patrick
M'Cormick, aged 64 years, 11 months and 24 days. The deceased was born near the town
of Balleymahen, County Longford, Ireland. He emigrated to the United States in 1827
and settled in this county in 1839. In his last illness he was fortified by the
sacraments of the Catholic Church, of which he was ever a faithful and ardent
member, and in peace with God and man, he died surrounded by his family and a number
of sympathizing friends. While we mourn the loss of a dear husband, provident father
and true friend, we are consoled by the hope that his soul is enjoying the reward
promised to those who serve God faithfully to the end. Requiescat in peace.
