(Ebensburg, Pa.) 1867-1938: November 10, 1870 On Wednesday, the 2d instant, at his residence in Allegheny township, James M'Cough, Esq., aged about 74 years. Mr. M'Gough's father was a native of Ireland, but settled in this county at a very early day. The subject of this brief notice was a brother of late John M'Gough, who was many years ago, Sheriff of Cambria county. Mr. M'G. was a hard working, honest man, greatly respected, and by his untiring toil succeeded in making for himself one of the best and most highly cultivated farms in the township in which he lived. One by one the hardy pioneers of our county are disappearing from familiar scenes of their early struggles with the wilderness.
