The Cambria freeman. (Ebensburg, Pa.) 1867-1938: December 23, 1871
Died, at the residence of his daughter, Mrs. Gurley, in this place on Sunday last,
Patrick Meloy, aged 98 years. Mr. Meloy was born in Donegal County, Ireland, and
emigrated to the United States in 1818. He settled in Ebensburg about the year 1828
and resided here from that time until his death. He was a shoemaker by trade and
worked steadily at the business until the infirmities of old age compelled him to
relinquish his labors... interred in Catholic cemetery...
