(Ebensburg, Pa.) 1867-1938: April 20, 1872 Morgan, Rev. Pollard McCormick We feel pained to chronicle the death of Rev. Pollard McCormick Morgan who died at his father's residence in Pittsburg, on Sunday last, in the 38th year of his age. Father Morgan was well and favorably known in this county, as he was assistant pastor at Loretto for about one year. He was a convert from Presbyterianism, and was a student in the Western Theological Seminary, Allegheny, at the time of his conversion. He subsequently entered St. Michael's seminary, where he studied for the Priesthood, and was ordained about twelve years ago. Since that time he has been a most efficient and exemplary priest. About fifteen months ago his health failed him, and from that time up to his death he suffered much, but bore it with the spirit of a true follower of his Savior. Father Morgan, leaves this world regretted by many warm hearts, his superior qualities of mind and heart made him hosts of friends among both clergy and laity being admired by all for his retiring and unassuming disposition and gentle manner. May he rest in peace. File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/pa/cambria/obits/m/morgan20405gob.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/pafiles/ File size: 1.7 Kb
