Mr. Maloney had been ailing for some time but very few people knew of his sickness from the fact that he was at work up to within a few days of his death, and the day before had been up town in the morning. Coming so suddenly, it was a shock to his many friends who had always regarded him as a healthy and robust man. Mr. Maloney was born in Ebensburg, September --, 1870, and had always resided here where he was well and favorably known as an active, industrious and useful man. Some ten or twelve years ago he was married to Miss Frances Misel, who, with six children, the youngest about six months old, survives him. He is also survived by his mother, Mrs. Mary Maloney, of Ebensburg, and two sisters - Miss Alice of Ebensburg and Miss Annie of Cleveland, Ohio. The funeral took place on Monday morning when, after a High Mass of Requiem in the Church of the Holy Name, his remains were interred in the new Catholic cemetery.
