MARSDES.

Charles Marsdes died at his home in Portage on Thursday evening at 5 
o'clock, death being caused by pneumonia.  He was born at Lancashire, 
England, and was aged 56, coming to this country when 17 years of age.  
He had resided in Portage for twelve years and was news agent there for 
the past nine years.  He was married to Miss Margaret Ellen Bartley of 
Houtzdale twenty-nine years ago and sis survived by his widow and four 
children: George of Kansas City, Mo., Charles, Elizabeth and Margaret, 
at home.  One brother, George, survives at Barnesboro.  The funeral 
services will be held at Coalport on Monday.
