E. Maucher Dr. J. E. Maucher died at his home in Carrolltown early Saturday morning, aged about seventy-four years. He had been in frail health for a considerable time and his death was the result of a complication of diseases. Dr. Maucher was born in Germany but came to this country when a young man and had been practicing at Carrolltown for almost a half a century. He was a highly educated physician and in the course of his practice had treated almost every old family in that section. Surviving him are two sons, Dr. J. V. Maucher and Victor Maucher, both of Carrolltown, also three daughters, Mrs. Walters of Carrolltown, Mrs. Marshall W. Riddles of Johnstown and Rose, single and at home. The funeral took place at 10 o'clock on Tuesday morning with services in St. Benedict's Church at Carrolltown. 1880 Carrolltown, Cambria County census - John E.
