Friday, 3 Mar 1905 Volume 39, Number 8 Charles J. McAuliff Dies After an illness of two days from pneumonia, Charles J. McAuliff of Carrolltown, who was well known in all parts of Cambria county, died on Wednesday night at 6:45 o'clock at his home. The deceased was about 38 years of age. He was married about nine years ago to Miss Mary Blum of Carrolltown and who, with two children, survives. The deceased was a son of the late Michael and Julia McAuliff near Sulphur Springs, Somerset county. A brother, William, lives near the old homestead while Michael, Alice and Ann are still at home. The funeral was held Saturday morning. Mr. McAuliff was a government storekeeper and manager having been appointed to that position about 10 or 11 year ago by President Cleveland. He had been located since at Carrolltown, Berlin, Walnut Grove and Westmoreland county distilleries.
