MRS. CLARENCE McCARTNEY DIES IN ALTOONA HOSPITAL

  Mrs. Vida McCartney, Glasgow, widow of Clarence McCartney and 
daughter of the late William and Melissa Keller, died Friday afternoon 
in the Altoona City Hospital.

  She was born at Glasgow, February 18, 1877. She was a member of the 
Mt. Zion Lutheran Church and the Caroline Troxell Rebekah Lodge, 576.

  Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Isabella Garman, Meadville, and 
Mrs. Marion Moore, Portage; a daughter, Anna, is deceased; six 
grandchildren; one stepson, Murray McCartney of Mountainsdale; two 
step-daughters, Mrs. Sara Cannon of Conneaut Lake and Mrs. Elizabeth 
Irwin of Bellingham, Washington; the following brothers and sisters: 
Rex Keller, Mrs. Maude McCartney, Harold Keller, of Altoona; Mrs. Lulu 
McManamy, Fallen Timber; Mrs. Edith Loutzenhizer, Los Angeles, Calif.; 
Mrs. Jessie Lante, Detroit, Mich.

  Burial was in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery Monday afternoon.
