Friday, 23 Aug 1912 Volume 45, Number 33 Death of Thomas McClement The funeral of Thomas McClement of Cresson, aged 42 years, who was fatally hurt Tuesday in Cresson shaft, was held yesterday. Services were conducted at his late residence by the Rev. Mr. Whipkey, pastor of the Cresson Presbyterian church, and the remains were interred in the Union cemetery at Summit. Thomas McClement was caught under a fall of coal and slate about 10:30 o'clock Tuesday morning. He was removed to his home where he died at 1:30 the same afternoon. Mr. McClement moved to Cresson about three months ago from Dunlo. At the last election of the U. M. W. of A., he was a candidate for National Board Member. Mr. McClement was born in Ireland. Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Robert and Hugh, and several brothers and sisters.
