Friday, April 17, 1903 James B. McCreight, a well-known resident of Johnstown, died at the Almshouse near Ebensburg at one o'clock on Monday afternoon. He had not been in good health for some time and was taken from Johnstown to the Almshouse in October, 1900. The cause of his death was general debility. Mr. McCreight was born in Indiana county eight-two years ago and was a prominent figure in the management of the Old Portage railroad. In politics Mr. McCreight was a Democrat and frequently figured in the contests of that party.
