Smith McCrorey, son of John D. McCrorey, of Johnstown, who was 
employed in the store of John Thomas & Sons in that city, was instantly 
killed about 10 o'clock on Wednesday morning by falling from the 
elevator on the third floor, down the shaft to the cellar, a distance 
of about thirty-five feet, breaking his neck.
