Friday, 5 Apr 1907 Volume 41, Number 14 Mrs. Barbara McKenrick Died at the home of her son, George A. McKenrick, 427 High avenue, this morning at 3:20, aged 82 years, 3 months and 27 days of disease incident to her advanced age. The subject of this sketch was born December 4, 1824 in Prussia. Her maiden name was Cole; her father with his family, immigrated to America in the year 1837 and settled in Adams county, Pa., where she married Charles McKenrick on November 3, 1841, who died April 3, 1892. The following children survive her: J. F. McKenrick of Ebensburg; Samuel J. of Curwensville; Mrs. Rachel Smith of Philadelphia; Mrs. Annie Kimple of Gettysburg; John J. of Harrisburg and G. A. of this city. The deceased was a sister of the late Hon. Francis Cole of Adams County, Pa., and aunt of Mrs. Dr. George Tate of this city. A large circle of relatives mourn the loss of an estimable lady and a devoted mother. She will be interred in the Catholic cemetery at Carlisle, Pa. (Altoona Mirror, April 1st, 1907)
