	Michaels, John E., 69, of 1219 O'Connor St., Johnstown, formerly of Beaverdale,
died Oct. 18, 1980, in Detroit, Mich.  Born July 7, 1911, in Beaverdale, son of
Ellis H. and Cecelia Sheridan Michaels.  Preceded in death by parents, son John
and brother Walter.  Survived by widow, the former Ethel Law, Huntington, W.
Va., and these children:  Gloria, wife of William J. Smith, 1219 O'Connor St.,
Johnstown; Lawrence, Narrows, Va.; Thomas, married to Ann Deskins, Huntington,
W. Va.; Ted, married to Betty Fuller, Huntington, W. Va.; Kathy, wife of David
Brown, Hartford City, Ind.; SueAnne, wife of David Gobble, Princeton, W. Va.;
Earl, married to Lynn Bostic, Tampa, Fla.; David Wade, married to Pattie Archer,
Huntsville, Ala.; and thirteen grandchildren.  Also survived by these brothers
and sisters: Olive Brence, Beaverdale; Ethel Kemmer, Southampton, Pa.; Edward
T., Sidman R.D.; James, Cleveland, Ohio; Herbert, East McKeesport; Esther Sloan,
Johnstown; David, Johnstown; and Donald, Gilbertsville, Pa.  He was a retired
mine foreman, a noted baseball player with the Johnstown Johnnies, an avid
sports fan and a baseball umpire.  Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m.
Sunday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Charles O. Dimond Funeral
Home, where wake service will be held 7:30 p.m. Monday.  Rite of Christian
Burial will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Beaverdale,
the Rev. John Boyle.  Interment, St. Bartholemew's Cemetery.
