M. Michaels of the Third Ward Dead. William M. Michaels, a well known citizen of the Third Ward, died at an early hour yesterday morning at his home, 111 East Fifteenth Avenue, aged 41 years. His death came sudden and very unexpected and was a great shock to his relatives and friends, as he had worked all day Saturday and came home in the evening apparently as well as ever. He took violently ill during the night and died a few hours later, heart disease being the cause of his death. The deceased was born in Johnstown, where he resided until he grew to be a man. He went from Johnstown to New Castle, where he resided for a short time. About 14 years ago he came to Homestead, having secured a position at the steel works, where he worked for three or four years, then resigned to accept a foremanship with the Pittsburg Foundry and construction company, he being an expert machinist. He continued to work for the last named firm until the time of his death. The deceased is survived by one son, David, his wife having died about three years ago, and an aged mother, three brothers, Ellis, of this place, David T., of Duquesne and John W. of Loydsdale, and one sister, Mrs. Lyshon, of New Castle. His niece, Miss Marrietta Wilkie, kept house for him after the death of his wife. The deceased was a member of Alma Lodge No. 523, I.O.O.F., of Johnstown. Funeral services will be held at 7:30 tomorrow.
