Friday, 18 Oct 1912 Volume 45, Number 41 Aged Man Found Dead on Porch Carrolltown, Oct. 11 While returning to his home after completing his day's work, John C. Miller, who lived on a big farm about a mile below Carrolltown, dropped dead on the porch last evening. He was found there about 9:15 o'clock by members of his family. Having been in good health and working about his farm, Mr. Miller's death was a distinct shock to his relatives and friends. John C. Miller was 65 years old. Besides his widow, he is survived by the following children: Mrs. William Miller and Mrs. B. J. Yeagley of Carrolltown; Mrs. Augustine Miller of Barnesboro; Raymond of Fort Wayne, Ind.; Mary, Ardella, Elinora, Serenus and Columbia, all at home. He was a brother of Joseph Miller, Casper Miller and Mrs. Henry Strasler, all of Hastings; Mrs. Joseph Baker of Ebensburg and Henry Miller of Altoona.
