Friday, 3 Apr 1908 Volume 42, Number 14 Death of Mrs. Winifred Moore Aged Ebensburg Lady Dies at the Home of Her Niece – Mrs. Mary V. Shoemaker Mrs. Winfred Moore, relict of the late Thomas B. Moore, died last night at the home of her niece - Mrs. Mary V. Shoemaker on Julian street. The deceased lady, whose maiden name was Winifred Gibson, a sister of the late Rev. Father Gibson and Mrs. Joseph McDonald, mother of Mrs. Shoemaker, was born July 10, 1829. In her youth she married Thomas B. Moore, son of Johnston Moore, a well known merchant of Ebensburg. Mr. Moore died in 1874. Besides Mrs. Mary V. Shoemaker and her family, Mrs. Gibson is survived by her niece's sisters, Thecla of the Visitation Convent, Baltimore, Md.; C. P. McDonald of Altoona and her niece, Miss Emma Gibson, daughter of Alfred C. Gibson of Philadelphia. Mrs. Moore was a lifelong member of the Catholic Church, and was a highly estimable lady, enjoying the friendship and esteem of all who knew her. On Monday morning next at nine o'clock the funeral cortege will proceed from the home of Mrs. Shoemaker to the Holy Name Catholic Church, where a high mass of requiem will be celebrated by the rector, Rev. Father H. U. O'Neill, after which interment will be made in the cemetery near the church.
