Friday, 7 Oct 1910 Volume 44, Number 39 Death of a Young Man Cornelius Morris, the 17-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Morris of Cambria Township, died at the home of his parents, about two miles southwest of Ebensburg last Saturday after an illness of some months. Several months ago Cornelius Morris was afflicted with a disease which began in his foot and paralyzed the great toe. The progress of the disease could not be arrested and the paralysis continued to spread. Local physicians recommended that the young man be taken to specialists in Philadelphia. This was done and it was discovered that a clot of blood had formed and was bearing down on the brain. Some temporary relief was given but the nature of the operation necessary for the removal of the obstruction was such as to render the same fatal. The boy is survived by his parents and several brothers and sisters. The funeral took place from the Holy Name Catholic Church on Tuesday morning with interment in the new Catholic cemetery. The funeral was attended by the Holy Name Sodality in a body, of which the young man was a member.
