Friday, 19 Jul 1912 Volume 45, Number 28 George T. Murphy George T. Murphy, aged about 47 years, a son of the late Lawrence Murphy and Ellen Murphy of Munster township, this county, died at the Heilwood hospital, June 27th last, as the result of injuries received only a few hours before in a mine accident in Indiana county where he was employed as a boss. The deceased was born on the Murphy homestead in Munster township on March 2, 1866 and was the second son of a family of eight children, four of whom died young. Surviving are his aged mother and the following brothers and sister: Lawrence H., present address unknown; John and Linda who reside with their mother on the homestead. On Friday following the remains were removed to the home of Mrs. Murphy from which place the funeral was conducted to the Holy Name Catholic church of Ebensburg on Monday morning, July 1st, where a Requiem High mass was celebrated by the Rev. Father H. M. O'Neill, pastor. Interment was made in the Old Catholic cemetery in Ebensburg. The deceased was a lifelong member of the Catholic church and was attended by a Priest at the hospital where all the rites and benefits of the church were administered. R. I. P.
