Michael Murphy was killed at Braddock station early yesterday morning. He was a brakeman on a shifting engine of the Edgar Thompson Steel Works and was in the act of stepping from a coke car to the main line of the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad, when a gravel train backing down struck him and ground him to pieces.
